LIRIDE (Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory in Life Cycle Assessment and Circular Economy) is a research laboratory attached to the Faculty of Engineering of the Université de Sherbrooke. Our expertise focuses on life cycle assessment and its applications for several sectors, such as buildings, energy, materials, digital technologies, and more. Scientific research is our mainspring. In addition, we support industry, SMEs, and organizations in their commitment towards better sustainable development practices.

Knowledge transfer is the second mission of LIRIDE. Our work provides answers and helps to change practices to reduce environmental impacts of our partners. Through all of our activities, LIRIDE promotes the dissemination, adoption and appropriation of the latest science-based results in life cycle assessment, circular economy and sustainable engineering .
Academic partners
Our third mission is to train students and professionals in the best practices and applications of LCA. We develop and offer numerous courses for all undergraduate and graduate levels, in addition to providing professional training to a multidisciplinary audience.
